Great weather last week for YLC Urban Planning and Agriculture Day! Thank you to Jeff Tyndall ’19, Sarah Cook ’22, Laura Schroeder ’10 and Highway Supervisor Jeff Bryant ‘21 for a great overview of how agencies like the Clarksville-MoCo Regional Planning Commission do the great work they do on balanced development in our community. These young leaders asked great questions and offered very insightful comments during our morning session before CMCSS transported us to the Kentucky-Tennessee Livestock Market, Inc. for Auction Day. After a great tour of the facility we travelled to visit Mr. Boyd and Boyd’s Pumpkin Patch to see a passionate master’s work in person. YLC students left with a new understanding and actual products of his operation on a beautiful October afternoon.
Thank you to Fortera Credit Union for their support as our October title sponsor as well as Mr. and Mrs. Jim and Dottie Mann for their continued support as our YLC presenting sponsors. Breakfast by Clarksville Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission, Lunch by Caledonia Forest, and coordination by Lori Smith, YLC Chairperson, made for a perfect day to learn why our Community is truly a “Best Place to Live”! We also want to thank our President, Judge Joel Wallace and Secretary-Treasurer, Mr. O’Neal Wiggins for joining the fun to see the committee’s hard work pay off!
