Capt Liane Wilson, CPD, planned and led a great Law, Crime and Justice Day for the Class of 2023. Some eyes were really opened to the efforts of our professional Police, Sheriff, and Courts system in Clarksville/Montgomery County. We started with CPD and ended with our K-9’s.
We definitely decided we did NOT want to be on the bad end of our law officers when we saw their skills in action with Clarksville PD. They also showed the human side of policing before we were fed like champions by our Sheriff’s office and engaged several of their specialty teams that keep us safe everyday.
A panel of our 19th Judicial District Judges and staff broadened our minds and we thank the panel consisting of majority LC alums for their time and transparency during questions and answers. We are blessed to have them overseeing justice in our district.
The Class of ’23 also got to see the other side by touring the Detention Facility and speaking with the team consisting of our District Attorney, Sheriff, and Chief of Police that secures our community against crime 24 hours a day. As the sun set, our local K-9 trainers showed off their canine officers that make a difference everyday.
We’d like to thank Batson and Nolan for their hospitality at the end of day reception which has become a welcome tradition every year. We would also like to thank Jon Duncan from Jon Duncan Photography for his professional work all day.
As always, we are blessed by our sponsors that make this all possible. This team of law enforcement and citizens gave LC another great experience not to be forgotten.
